A poster in Persian advertising a musical performance titled "بازخوانی" (Re-examination). It features a stylized illustration of a head with a pink brain and blue raindrops, surrounded by abstract doodles and icons like eyes, clouds, hearts, and musical notes. Text provides details about the event, including date, time, location, and organizers.
A woman with glasses and a hijab sitting in a dark room watching a projection on a screen. The projection shows a girl with a black hijab, a checkered shirt, and a drawing background with rainbows, clouds, and a smiling sun.
A young woman with fair skin and short hair wearing a black headscarf and a plaid shirt standing indoors, with a dark background and some electronic equipment around her.

Recite

2018 – Rooberoo Mansion, Tehran, Iran

Recite is a sequel to former performance Kitchen Sink Drama, it is a performance that explores the fraught relationship between creator and creature. The character, Pantea, originates from my earlier play and exists as an inseparable extension of her author. On stage, she confronts me, her writer, pleading for release from her bitter destiny of suicide. Her arguments remain unconvincing, and my counterarguments even less so. Bound within the same fractured entity, neither character nor author can resolve their conflict or overcome their shared deficiencies.

The performance combined video, motion graphics, noise, music, and live audience interaction to create a layered, experimental atmosphere—one that blurred the boundaries of the subconscious, memory, and imagination.
